Photo of the day 091115: Biking under the arch

It's the time of year for warm days under the arch, as chinook winds keep the temperature on the plus side of zero. Often on these days, it's cloudy all day long, but in the late afternoon, the sun finally drops below the leading edge of the arch and there's a nice sunny period before sunset. What a great day to be out on a bike!
(Meteorological note: the chinook arch is actually the leading edge of a huge wave, called the Rockies Lee Wave. If you get towed up under the edge of this thing in a glider and then release, you can climb without power to 20,000 feet or more. My own personal record is 26,200 ft. ASL. )
