I have been talking with the VP of Development of Remington Corporation for the past year about the lack of bike path on the East side of the Bow River at Quarry Park (old Lafarge lands). Last year he promised to get a bike path constructed in 2007. He now tells me that they are still trying to get their permits for release of water that effects the path. So now it will be in 2008.

In the meantime, I asked him to grade the road along the fence and put some gravel down, as this road had deep rutts and was impassable in a rain storm. On May 9th, his people graded the road. It is a big improvement, taking out the ruts. I thanked him today.

Does anyone know who I need to talk with at city hall, regarding the access to the North and to the South of the Quarry Park bike path? That would be just South of Riverbend and just North of the Deerfoot bridge over the Bow river at Douglasglen.
