Now available, BikeCalgary spoke cards! Slip one (or two!) of these into your spokes and kill two birds with one stone: let people know you support BikeCalgary, and that your bike is one less car. These are high-quality, two-sided cards that have been protected with heavy-weight 5mm laminate so they'll last for years in the rain and snow. Suggested usage: slip between spokes so that the ONE LESS CAR message is on the left side, where it can be seen by other roadway users.

Calgary Bicycle Polo

Bicycle polo, which originated in Ireland in 1891 (Wikipedia, 2007), is enjoying a new-found popularity. Formal rules involve a game of two teams of four players each, which is played on a rectangular field. More casual street versions of the game have cropped up in cities across the globe. If you're interested in testing the limits of your cycling abilities, the Calgary Bike Polo league meets on Wednesdays inthe summer, and Sundays in the winter. (Calgary Bike Polo)
